apply at least a couple of weeks before it expires and send by Recorded delivery to ensure you get the discount for 'prompt payment' application.

If it says Jan on it, then it runs out at the end of Jan.

 

If they know you are the boats owner, and have a current address for you, then you should get an invite well in advance that allows you to do an on-line renewal - usually by far the quickest and most efficient method, if there are no details to change.

 

Whatever happens, if you can't prove they have had the money before the licence expires at end of January, you risk loosing the 10% prompt payment discount, and possibly getting a further charge for late payment.

 

So if you have not heard from them well in advance, (are you sure they know you own it, and your address ?), make sure you chase them, so as to get the renewal at the discounted rate.

No reason why not, some of our members use the local office, but your local office appears to be (and is the main licensing office):-
