Mad Harold Posted February 11, 2021 Report Share Posted February 11, 2021 When toothed belt driven camshafts were becoming common,car makers claimed they were an 'improvement'. I think they meant an improvement to their profit margin. Didn't some Ford engines have a chain driven camshaft ? which I think would be ok on a boat. I had some years ago a Fiesta,and later a Ka,and if memory serves they were both chain driven OHC. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
