I replaced the ones that go from the toilet to the macerator pump with the u bend, black rubber ones.

My toilet is a techma toilet and the ones i replaced were on the boat from new so 16 years old.

When i got the new ones i was told its recommended to replace every 5 years or so as the smell starts to permeate through the rubber. Mine had a loverly build up of calcium on the inside and started to give the toilet a unique small. All replaced and smell free now.
