Has anyone used this type of pigtail to save using a spanner ?

Personally I've never found the need for a spanner in this situation to be irksome. It's hardly a daily occurrence.

Had those on our last caravan. They were fine. Because they have a rubber seal they're more forgiving than the old type, however you need to watch out for perishing or damage to the rubber.
