I saw this offer and faithfully queued at my local Aldi this morning for opening time - the store had the grand total of two in stock, and they were both snaffled by the first guy in the queue - my, he was popular when he took not one but two!

This is what Aldi, Lidl, and Netto do, to get you interested in visiting the store. The main "Show" item is usually limited to two or three per store. It sometimes works in your favour. I got a very cheap deal on a bandsaw this way.

Makro have the same offer for the exactly the same item for same price but plus VAT. I know for a fact Halesowen branch have a pallet full.

I can't remember where I read it, but I do recall seeing somewhere that this system doesn't actually work very well. So maybe you've had a narrow escape!
