Gas Flame

I visited our boat this weekend for the first time in a couple of months

 

I noticed this morning that the gas flames on the hob were burnig blue but with a yellow tip. . A bit later before we left I tried it again and it was burning with a complete blue flame.

 

Can the humidity and temperature in the boat affect the way the gas burns

The flames should be all a crisp blue, it may have been yellow tip as the jets were a bit dirty and in use you burnt it off.

 

The yellow shows it's not burning fully, which can be lack of air, dirty jets, etc.

Take the top off the burners and give it all a good clean. Will almost certainly cure your 'yellow-tip' problems.

Thanks for the advice, just a bit concerned as I have BSS coming up
