Moorings / Marinas near York

Morning, all!

Planning to be in York in August to visit family and have the boat officially re-named, but a bit stymied by BW only seeming to have 48hr Visitor moorings - which is a bit of a bugger. Is there a private marina (or something) up round there that I could book a few weeks mooring? Will be having my usual summer break, too, so would be nice to make sure she's moored somewhere safe whilst I'm in Whitby.

Ta, folks!

Hi Chris,

Try Naburn Marina - http://www.yachtservice.co.uk/naburn.asp - I'm sure that they should be able to help you.

A few years since we were last there but the moorings at Museum Gardens were council owned with no restrictions.

Are they fairly secure? If I want to leave her for a fortnight I'd like to know she'll be safe. Still, another one to have a gander at.
