Tricity bendix 12V fridge

We have bought a boat with a Tricity Bendix 12 volt fridge,model no. RIR 506G - N, but no manual came with it. Does anyone have a manual they could copy?

 

Also, does anyone have any idea what a blinking red light on the front of the fridge above the door is supposed to signify?

Have you checked the "manuals online dot com" site? They may have your model or at least a similar one.

Yes, I have. They have the manual for the 240 volt model, but not the 12 volt.

I expect its a 12V conversion done by a local refrigeration engineer so will have no manual.

 

The blinking light is probably giving you the fault code from the control module. Blink codes for Danfoss as follows, groups of:-

 

1 - battery voltage (at fridge) outside settings (probably flat battery OR undersized feed cables).

2 - over current to fan (if fitted)

3 - Motor filed to start (pressure still in system blocking the motor).

4 - Motor can not reach designed speed of 1850 rpm

5 - Electronic unit too hot so has cut out.

 

Google for Danfoss Direct Current Compressors. That's the manual you need.
