coal deals - anything good out there?

Depending on how much you are looking for and if you are able to store it, we get our coal for the boat from Andy Holmes. He does 1 ton and 1/2 ton deliveries.

 

We have only ever taken a Ton, but this comes with free delivery throughout the UK canals, else he can offer a next-day service for £17, delivered any day of your choice. He can also offer Saturday morning delivery. Local deliveries are with his own fleet of drivers who are exception, else he uses a courier firm who have always been first rate. I often get it sent to 'The Layby by the canal, near lock 34, staffordshire' (no can be seen by road) with the postcode of the local pub. and they will place it anywhere they can get with a 7.5 tonner, tail lift, and pallet truck.

 

The offer a range of fuels, we always get the 'dry welsh' in large cobbles which is a great coal and smokeless certified and burns as well on the stove as in the boiler, if buying for a stove alone, I would pay the extra for the smaller and closer graded sizes.
