Mobile Phone Signal Booster

I'm struggling with the mobile phone signal on my boat ............ line breaking up, calls dropping out or not getting through etc etc ......... probably familiar problems to some !

 

I'm on an iPhone 5 with EE - not sure that should be a factor as I have little problem when I'm travelling round the country.

 

Somebody told me today about mobile phone signal boosters. Does anybody here have any experience or knowledge or any recommendations of these ? And ........ do they actually work ?

We've fitted a 4g router with external aerial

I bought on from eBay, £26-00 si I could use my spare phone in an emergency, it's a Blackberry on 3 and now gets a signal inside the boat. Strangely we have no problem with getting 4G in our O2 phones

You have to ensure you get one with the right bandwidth.

I just replaced my dying iPhone 5 with a 6 and the signal is way better. There are lots more aerial bands in the back of the phone
