Jess--
We came through yesterday and the water is a little darker than normal, but no smell and no scum. The wildlife is back on that section. Cheers Graham We may have passed each other at some point as we passed through yesterday, went from the anchor at Hartshill at about 10:30 and into Brinklow marina at about 5:00 PM
Graham and Jo
We may have passed each other at some point as we passed through yesterday, went from the anchor at Hartshill at about 10:30 and into Brinklow marina at about 5:00 PM Yes on those timings we definitely passed each other. We moored just south of Anstey and had passed Brinklow Marina well before 5pm. Cheers Graham
Top cat
Went through there today, noticed the water was a strange colour but no odour , oil or scum on the surface. I heard from a CaRT volunteer that both CaRT and the EA are looking into it, slurry leakage is suspected. Top Cat
Rog Davies
Passed through Nettle Hill cutting on Sept 21st and noticed how black & smelly the stretch was. Wondered if it's something to do with runoff from the motorway overhead, perhaps combined with rotting vegetation from the cutting sides. Don't think it is serious pollution though as we saw at least 4 voles crossing the cut in front of us.
