Arthur Marshall
Minor problem but...the fuel filter on my Lister SR2 was a couple of bleed doofers on the top which you use to hoick the diesel through when it's been turned off for any reason. They are knurled things which are supposed, i think, to be only finger tight so it's quick to loosen them, but unless I give them a serious wrench with a pair of pliers they come loose and leak. The washers under them are fibre - I have a vague memory that they used to be rubber ring washers which possibly sealed better with less force - does anyone know which are best to use? RLWP
They are a nuisance, aren't they. I leave them alone and slacken the inlet and outlet pipes off instead It depends what shape the hole in the top of the filter is. If the threaded hole is flat, you want a fibre washer, if it conical you want the o ring Richard
Arthur Marshall
Thanks Richard. By the way, Dave Ormerod came down and sorted out the diesel leak - replaced the leak-off and another bit.

He's a good bloke, Dave. Did he tell you about his workshop? Richard
