Anyone know where an enfield z drive can be serviced on the river Lea and Stort please??

Thinking of buying a small cruiser, and most seem to have a z drive. Can these be serviced on the Lea and Stort. I have heard that you are asking for trouble if they are neglected.

Not an answer to your specific question but a general observation - Anything 'mechanical' is likely to prove 'troublesome' if it is not 'fed, watered and maintained'.

Bob Knowles Plant Services Ltd were the owners of the rights to Enfield Z drives. 9 Vulcan Road,Leicester, Tel 0116 253 8685. I have not been in touch with them recently,hopefully they are still in business. If so,they should be able to refer you to a local engineer
