snigsnig
I'm looking to have my tatty old hatch door liners replaced, and wondered if anyone knew of a reasonably priced carpenter who specialises in this. I'm in Cheshire, but would be looking to remove the existing door liners and send them to whoever to make new ones, rather than making them in situ. Thanks very much Neil
charlie_p
hi ,just go to any joiners shop , check out there work, and ask for a price, they should be able to quote of a picture, if the price is ok then either take your old doors or just the sizes
Mike Jordan
Hi Neil Are these framed and panelled doors or just panels of veneered ply let into folded steel surrounds? Mike.
pearley
Our framed and panelled oak liners didn't fare too well so we have them replaced with plain veneered oak and keep them oiled rather than varnished. Odana
Owatrol, rather than oil or varnish, seems to make the wood impermeable. Very impressed so far. And the bonus is it rust-proofs the metal at the same time - no faffing about with different protection products. It comes up a satin sheen effect.
