One time, I unthinkingly answered the door to the police whilst holding parts of a very realistic (life-size) plastic kit of a Colt AR15 assault rifle.......that took a little bit of explaining.....

We travelled up a few locks on the Thames with Tiger Moth I think, before the winter stoppages last year. The owner is charming and great fun, we all laughed a lot. Told me he was a champion brick layer and I found it really interesting as he described the different bricks and styles of brick laying used in the various lock cottages.

 

Hope to meet him again one day.

Likewise, my wife had a good chuckle when I showed her this thread and the daily wail article.

 

The sort of chap everyone could do with meeting once!
