Hot water at Wheelock Wharf

Stopped at the water point for a re-fill a couple of weeks ago, got the hose connected up, turned it on, there was a bit of leakage from the fittings on the post. I was surprised to find the water was warm! Must have been the post was in the sun and the water would cool off after a bit had run through , but no , the sun wasn't shining and 5 minutes of tank filling later, water still running warm. Anyone else experienced this at the location?Is CRT's pipework linked into the shower supply? Is there an underground fire in the area? An electrical fault shorting to the water main or it's too near the centre of the earth ? Any ideas?

It isn't the first time I've been in hot water here..... Maria left moored on the water point seemed to upset a few people earlier in the year ( it wasn't me guv.)

It's well worth noting that's there's a useful manhole cover on Wheelock Wharf that's handy for a self pump out! Twilight is an excellent time to perform the task.

i wonder if the pipe in the ground is acting the same as a ground source heating does? like a reverse fridge?
