Slim
We have a dipstop. Was very very expensive but fitted where others wouldn't. And seems very sturdy - so far, £90-odd quid we're happy to have spent. If the cap of a dipstop is removed is it possible to insert a syphon tube into the tank? ( using tools if necessary). I ask because I like to syphon a couple of litres out of the tank once or twice a year to check for water or bug. I do have a drain plug in the tank but it's just that,a plug. It's also about 30mm above the bottom of the tank. Many thanks Frank
Daiboy
I've just had a blinding idea, but don't tell anyone eh. As has been mentioned the scroats that go out looking to nick fuel will carry bolt croppers, hammers and all that stuff. Will they carry a 14" or an 18" stillson wrench? I don't think so. So do up your cap with a stillson as tight as possible. There is no way that the scroat will undo it. Don't loose your wrench though.
