errr no, being an optimist i tend to think about living!!!

 

Having said that, my mum has planned and paid for her funeral years ago, so i guess some do. Do they intend to float you away in one of these, then?

A boater and good old firiend of mine passed away last year. His narrowboat took him a short distance up the canal, where the coffin was transferred to the Hearse, and then onto the crem.

 

With a bit of luck I'll be around for a while yet, but it's definately the way I want to go when the time comes.

a while ago last year early lasy year maybe or even 2005 , there was abiker that had his coffin taken down the canal on his working narrowboat and loads of harldey davidsons were there , it was in towpath talk

Set me thinking, is there a graveyard, still in use, next to the cut? A bit like the Pharaoh taking his last journey up the Nile?

 

Also what would be the processional hymn? Is there not a Spiritual about Moses in his basket?

Sale Cemetery which now lies on both sides of Marsland Road. This is right next to the cut at Sale on the Bridgewater Canal. It's actually facing a section of our moorings at the Brooklands end.
