Help to identify this engine please

Hi I have recently bought a narrow boat with a lister air cooled engine and was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it, I am unable to find an oil filter on it and also a fuel pump, I would be grateful if anyone could enlighten me on this as I want to get a service before I take here out, thanks.

It's a Lister SR2 with a mechanical gearbox (LM100)

 

It hasn't got an oil filter, or a fuel pump

 

Many SR engines don't have filters, and your engine is using gravity feed instead of a pump

 

This is all OK

Listers in general have a very good reputation for reliability, as long as they're serviced regularly. Refined, no, reliable, yes.

If you need parts for it, forum member Chris B works for the Lister engine main distributors and I am sure he could help.

 

I like SR2s, they sound right (and apparently keep on sounding right for many years).
