Info: photographic tour of the grand union canal, currently from marsworth to rickmansworth. The site will be added to in the summer 2005 to include the aylesbury arm, and the tour extended to braunston.

My grandparents lived in Wendover where will the canal terminus be? I would love to go back by narrowboat one day.

This map shows the route of the restoration. I think that slight detour of the canal on my site was due to the new A41 bypass (but don't hold me to that).

 

I'll be going back in a few weeks to go on from where i left off today. I'll keep this thread updated.

Nice piece of work speedy

I was born and dragged up in Luton and spent many weekends as a kid fishing the canals around Tring/Marston/Cowroast/Bulbourne etc.

I haven't been back to the old stamping ground for over 20 years,your pictures brought back some happy memories.
