I am not usually one for a rant but what is going on with CRT.

 

 

The locks are falling into disrepair

 

The plastic paddles are now writing their own notes to boaters

 

Signs threaten fines for over staying on lengths that you cannot moor without your own strimmer

 

Watford locks are out of use at the moment with over ten boats waiting for CRT to power wash the lock gates as part of the winter maintenance albeit September

 

I think we may sell the boat and get a campervan for next summer

Is it just a temporary wait at Watford locks,as in a few hours?

Yes, but have you seen the power washer, I seen more powerful ones at Tesco's car wash. Wouldn't knock a bird off its perch from a yard away. They started this yesterday too! I think they normally do it at this time of the year.
