An old L&L bargeman we knew claimed to have done the trip from Liverpool to Leeds with a cargo of 50 tons of sugar during the war in 52 hours. Mind he was an animal, left his crew if they did not keep up. And everybody Knew him wives or anything not screwed down Joe Briggs would have.


Visit Leeds market. Skipton hot pork pie shop on the springs branch. Barnolswick cafe and steam powered mill. Burnley Market (Black Puddings)Blackburn Market (Sasperella) Wigin Marker ( steak and cowheel pies)
