Aldi fire extinguisher - another Sunday special

Aldi have these from Sunday 12 May

Not a great deal of info other than it meets BS 6165

 

Does anyone know if it would meet BSS requirements?

It's very small! The Lidl 6 kilo extinguisher would be a better bet when they next have some.

If it's the same as i bought yes, but i believe they would not be allowed to sell it unless it did conform.

Isn't there a minimum rating for these for use on boats according to the BSS?

 

8A 55B or something similar. I had too many, in number, extinguishers on board at the lower rate but our examiner made me replace the lower rated items with less, in number, of the higher rated extinguishers.

 

If you get my drift. Over all I had the correct figures but not necessarily in the right order, as Eric Morecombe would say.
