I've stripped the thread on the fuel pump anyone know an engineer in the Manchester/Cheshire area who might be able to fix it or the best source of Vetus spares in the area?

Assuming it's an internal thread what you need is a helicoil or one of the clones put in the hole. Tim Leech at Dutton might be able to do it- he's a regular on here. Any diesel injection specialist should also be able to help. Easiest to take the pump off and take it to them.
