Lifting Bed System

Featured Posts

When you have the bed "up" though, will there be anything covering the mechanism and frame underneath? Ie will you be using that space for something else during the day? Boxing it in?

I'm looking at something like this but just don't know what to do with the space when the bed is in the up position during the day and make it look presentable at the same time.

Ah! Apologies I thought it was going to be another wall bed rather than just a useful way to get to the storage, I really like it though!

This is what a friend of mine has just built for me using create-a-bed mechanism. They are a US company, but they do have a UK distributor. Not cheap, £300 for the struts, brackets, fixings and comprehensive plans.

Hi Lewisericeric,

This system is not designed for leaving the bed up, rather it is to gain access to the under bed storage area without the need for drawers are slats.

I really like that but don't have a bulkhead where it could go up against vertically and I'm guessing the horizontal way wouldn't fit under the gunnels either without some sort of modification.hmmmm . Something to think about though!

Cheers
