I'd like to put in a vote for a latex mattress. Firm, comfortable and naturally hypoallergenic. I bought mine from a Swedish retailer, cut it to the correct size and then covered it.

The main problem with memory foam topped mattresses is that they stop the springs interlocking smoothly making them far too easy to remove from around the prop.

 

No challenge at all.
