Is there anywhere on here where you can find do's and dont's rules etc on the Canals?

Assuming you mean CRT (formerly BW) waters, a starting point to not actually breaking any bye-laws could be this.....

Indeed there is, although unlike the others, that is just someone's private view, and there are many who don't feel particularly comfortable with the whole "Considerate Boater" initiative, of course.
