Hi, I have just tried to clean out my water strainer as per this thread - http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=44681&st=0&p=826623&fromsearch=1entry826623 - and now all the water coming through the tap is full of the black bits from the filter.

 

Any ideas?

What are these black bits,rubber,plastic,paint ect ?
