alan_fincher
Original operators manual Here says they hold 8 pints, so 4.54 litres. Given the pump never completely scavenges them, and the fact that some of that will be in the oil filter that you take off, your 4 litres sounds about as good as you get. (Obviously it depends where on the dipstick it was before you started, too!).
Troyboy
I opened your link Alan for the original operators manual and read with interest under Fault Diagnosis - Loss of Power to check if brakes are binding . The joys of cut and paste . Reminded me of a story I heard many years ago regarding some hirers who on approaching a lock pulled the knob marked stop thinking it was the brakes . Richard T
4ltrs is about right - as Alan said oil filters hold some and any oil in the cooler(s) will not be sucked out by the pump. Once a year or so I go to the trouble of grovelling under the engine and taking the sump drain plug out to get rid of as much oil as possible.
