Boat Building the old way

Featured Posts

Those are well worth watching for anybody that appreciates true craftsmen. Similar skills were used by the early builders of wooden narrowboats but on a rather larger and heavier scale. We are privaledged to see craftsmen such as this working. Thanks for posting them

For me the images of a simpler way of life were at least as much pleasure as the actual boat building.

Also, compare it with present-day documentaries which spend more time showing you the presenter than they do showing you the subject. For example BBC's springwatch and Prof Cox's space programmes.

I thought you might like it Carl.

I do and I was right about the Viking longship.

I've found the website, here: Clickety

You can buy the DVDs but I think I might be too late to start dropping Fathers Day hints so I might just order a couple and wrap them myself.
