quick release battery clamps

The ones from camping and caravan shops are OK for lightish domestic use but a bit prone to corrosion after a couple of years unless you keep the metal bits covered in grease. Heavier duty ones are standard on a lot of cars now so presumably are up to the extra loads.

just after a bit of info on quick release battery clamps anyone using them, are they any good or in general whats your experience or thoughts on them

We had them when we were caravaners

They were identical to these -

Not sure they would be up to use on a boat unless your current draw was relatively low - they worked fine for us in the caravan. But this was with one (70 amp from memory) leisure battery.

I suspect the BSS might have a problem with those because the cable strands are secured by screws.
