Puffer
I bought my secondhand boat and it came with a Dikinson Adriatic Cooker, which also incoprates a heating coil for radiators and hot water. It has never worked properly despite talking to the supplier. The main difficulty seems to be (1) it doesn't burn consistently, being OK for a while and then soots up (2) I have tried to get the the water to circulate round the system, fitted a new pump and put in a bleed off at the highest point, but it remains stubbornly cold! Anyone know anything about these beasts or any tips to try? Sorry for the typo in the heading.java script:emoticon('',%20'smid_3') Edited January 18, 2006 by John Orentas

Sounds about normal for diesel-powered cookers.
