Hi all.

I have just installed a pressurised central heating system working from the second coil of the calorifier. I have installed an accumulator but not sure what pressure it should be set at. The system is pressurised to one bar. Colin.

If it's a central heating system it is not an accumulator - its an expansion vessel so it needs pressurising with NO pressure in the system to about 1 bar.

I just hope this central heating system is not a stove and that it has both a normal thermostats and an overheat thermostat on it as well as decent safety valve venting to the outside - otherwise, eventually - BANG

The central heating works from the second coil of the calorifier which is heated by the water in the calorifier, which is heated by the engine. The calorifier has a prv fitted so the heating cant get hotter than the hot water system that feeds the taps
