Looking for some DVD's and books about fitting out and general use of narrow boats any recommendations.

Something about electrics would be good as well.

have looked through a well known online book seller but there are loads.

Already have the narrow boat builders book by G Booth.

Have three freebys on me:-

As I have said so many times before all my course notes are free for boaters to print out but remember they are course notes and may avoid issues that I deal with in the course. There are three, maintenance which is mainly about the mechanical side of things including the water system and so on. Electrical which is self evident and an Introductory set for really green, first time boaters.

Have you found Gibbo's Smartgauge technical notes yet? They are free as well.

Thanks Tony have already read most of your notes very helpful they are as well.

Have you copy of the Boat Safety Guide, if not get it. It does not say how to do things but it says what you MUST do and what would be a good idea to do.

I use The Marine Electrical & Electronic Bible by J C Payne but at about £60 (from memory) and with far too much content only of interest to ships and sea goers I can not recommend it for an amateur inland boater.
