Rudder

My little boat has had its rudder removed at some point in the past (outboard fitted) and we are wanting to replace it but where do we go or could I just make one, the rear of the boat still has one fixing point so I guess another will have to be added where the outboard mount is currently situated.

When I retro-fitted a rudder onto an old boat, I bolted 2 plumber blocks to the back and the rudder bar slid into them with the actual rudder welded onto the bar.

What's still there? Do you have the swan neck, or the bearing at the bottom of the neck? Has the skeg been cut off?
