Boat fire on the K&A

Last night I noticed a firey glow along the canal, I called it in to 999 but they already knew about it. Turns out it was a plastic boat that had been moored there at Frouds Lane for a couple of months. It had a patrol notice on it, this morning the notice was discarded on the towpath and the boat was burnt down to the waterline almost, nothing survived, a total loss

Seems, perhaps maybe, to be a pattern. 'Harry' was moored/dumped a few miles away at Midgham, that eventually was aparrantly torched in the end.

Do you think this is BW's tough stance on continual moorers

Sorry I don't understand that post

Hah, remembered...

I wonder whether, as the push on the K&A to discourage people from living there occurs, instead of removing boats from the water people will turn to the age old method of disposing of unprofitable cars... Burn it and claim!

Maybe, to kickstart the floundering boat building industry, the government could introduce a scheme where you take along your old, knackered boat and they give you £2000 towards a new one.

Oh, no, I forgot, they only do that to shore up foreign based car manufacturers.
