It all just goes right.

 

No. 2 son is off to Stratford with friends and Tawny Owl needed fuel. So this morning we went and found them at Wooton Wawen to fill up at Anglo-Welsh. Nice sunny day. While moving up to the marina Sue rang to say "don't turn around, they will fill up at the aqueduct". Brilliant! that's a tricky manouver I don't have to do. As there were two boats moored up we checked to see if we would be stopping them moving, but both were fine.

 

Stopped on the aqueduct and filled up. Had a conversation with A-W about 60/40, other proportions, how stupid it was and so on. General agreement all round and away we went.

 

It was a nice day, so why not carry on for a bit? So we did Odd-lock and arrived at the aqueduct just in time to see "Earl of Mount Edgecumbe"* coasting down towards Stratford.

 

Jumped ship at the end of the aqueduct and had a lovely half-hour walk back to the car.

 

Sometimes, you really can't beat this boating lark
