Diesel on the Coventry - advice needed

WotEver

Featured Posts

Hi,

Cruising on Sunday on the Coventry and for a good half hour (so I guess a mile and a half or so) there was a noticeable film of diesel visible right across the full width of the canal surface - you could even smell it.

I'd actually forgotten about it until today but was I being irresponsible by not reporting it? If so, who should I have reported it to?

I know that a little diesel spreads a long way on water, but two miles of it is more than a little, I'd have thought.

Regards,

Tony

Ignoring "Helps keep the weed down..." and "get some fairy on it" comments

If its still leaking, clearly stoping it doing so it important, but largly unless there really is loads of it (which can be soaked up and removed) theres not a terrific amount that can be done bar leaving it to evaporate off i dont think.
