Aluminium windows

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the aluminium frames, mine are looking rough and before I rip them out and replace, I want to try and spruce them up.

So is there any magic products that I can use.

An ink rubber? Slightly abrasive - gets all the muck off!!

I am doing the same. Some of mine are raw ali, some have been anodised. The raw ones have come up well with wire wool, the anodised ones are not so good. I will probably end up painting them :-( as to get the anodising off is virtually impossible with basic tools and the windows in the boat.

 

On that note. Any recommended gold paint for the job? I will start a thread.
