Warped deck boards Help!!!

Hi All

Don’t know if anyone else has had this problem but my deck boards have warped over the engine, which is unfortunately letting in water.

I was given a sample of some teak affect rubber decking but can’t locate it anywhere

Does anyone know where to get this or have any other ideas?

Cheers

Chrisy

I'd be surprised if the water was getting in because the deckboards had warped. More likely it's because the gutters and downpipes haven't been cleaned out for a long time. If the boards aren't too badly warped try and line the underside of the boards where they rest on the gutter, with strips of foam rubber in order to take up the wobble. (if you see what I mean?)

Hi Chrissy,

I think the reason you may not be getting too many replies is that "teak effect rubber decking" probably doesn't mean too much to too many people.

Your post mentions "deck boards", so are you looking to completely replace them, or expecting to add some kind of rubber coating to what you already have?, (although it's hard to see that would cure warping or stop leaking).

Can you give a bit more detail, please?

Or if you have a sample of what you are after, then post a picture of it.

What a lot of people use for peplacement decboards is "phenolic plywood" - "Googling" this will find lots of references.
