Not really boating news, but I wasn't sure where to post this. 

 

I know I'm a bit late, but surprised the death of John B Goodenough back in June of this year hasn't had a mention on CWDF (or maybe I missed it). 

 

He probably had a huge effect on all our lives in terms of the development of Lithium-ion battery technology.

Yes won a Nobel prize for for his lithium battery work. The did a synopsis of his life in "Last Word", on the BBC radio. Here:
