New Water Heater Recommendations

Hello all! First post from a newbie boater here.

My Morco Super Compact 11l (F11-E) kept blowing it’s internal fuse. Gas professionals told me to replace the fan and then the PCB but nothing’s changed so a few hundred pounds in I’ve decided it’s probably time to call it quits as there’s clearly a deeper issue.

Are there any recommendations for a replacement LPG heater? It seemed a perfect fit for my needs before it shut down but open to words of wisdom from you folks. There are so many options out there and I’m hoping to sort it before the weather turns…Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum!

The first thing to ask is what rating fuse are you fitting? Is it the correct rating? Fuses are rated not only by current but by speed of blowing too. If the original fuse was a delayed or slow blow fuse (highly likely), then if you are replacing with a standard or fast blow fuse then yes it will probably blow.

But to answer your actual question, these things on Amazon work very nicely.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SUDEG-Propane-Portable-Tankless-Apartment/dp/B0B2R88CXC/ref=sr_1_13?crid=8C19D2R2TWGT&keywords=tankless+water+heater+lpg&qid=1661374668&sprefix=tankless+water+%2Caps%2C405&sr=8-13

Loads of different sellers and prices, and different brand names but all the same thing underneath, I suspect.

Although now I check, the F-11 still seems to be available if you want a new one the same.

The Morco link says this is now obsolete.

Though they seem to do an alternate one, if you really  want a room sealed one.

Not cheap though!

Needs 230Vac too. The Morco product page says it can be used with 12V "if a small inverter is installed".

I've seen one of them things on Amazon (and ebay) working and they "seem" very good. I say "seem" as I doubt they are CE marked or UK tested in any way.
