Parnz62
I have finally managed to locate my toilet waste tank...it is under the floorboards in the bathroom, which I wasn't expecting at all to be honest! It must be a very shallow wide tank, as there are pump out lines on both sides of the boat, a 39ft East West Marine built in 2009.. I think I may have found the sender, can anyone confirm that this is what one looks like? The two black hoses at the back are the starboard side pump out and rinse out hoses Any ideas how easy is would be to remove and replace the sender? It looks like it might be hard to remove, or do they just unscrew?
blackrose
Sorry I can't answer your question, but from a maintenance perspective it doesn't sound like the ideal location for a waste tank. What's the tank made from?
Parnz62
Mild steel by the look of it.....not ideal at all....
Tracy D'arth
If that is a black pipe connected and not a wire I would try blowing down the other end of it. It may be an air pressure gauge and just bunged up. Not seen anything like that before but then I haven't been to the works in China.
Parnz62
Hi Tracy, the black wire is the power supply....

No, if its a 2 core wire it is the sender up to the gauge. There aint no battery inside the tank! Check the other end to see if the gauge has power. Parnz62
Bit mystified as it is a copper cable attached to the top of the sender and looks to have been covered in some sort of glue or resin....I assumed it was the power to the sender?
