Beano Crisp

Pyrex dish, Baked beans in the bottom, cover with cornflakes and pile on grated cheddar. Put in the oven until the beans bubble and the cheese is melted & brown.

Bus Smash

Can of tomatoes drain as much juice off as possible (into a glass add worcester sauce and drink) put in a suacepan warm through and mix in grated cheese just before spreading on toast.

Toast sllices of bread until well done and crispy, layer of toast spread with cheese &tomato, next layer of toast spread on mixture, add more slices but remember you have to be able to get it under the grill, cover with grated cheese and put under hot grill until cheese browns prick surface of cheese and add a few drops of worcester sauce. Too much juice in the tomatoes makes the toast go soggy

Quick, nourishing, filling and cheap.

Ah! the good old days (formerly these hard times)

And to finish the meal off

Packet of choc chip biscuits (maryland cookies) + a drop of sherry and some whipped double cream

Put the sherry in a dish, dip the cookie and turn over (do it quickly you don't want the biscuit soggy) dollop of cream on top repeat and make a log or circle (biscuit/ceam/biscuit, cover log with remains of cream and sprinkle chopped nuts/hundreds & thousands/grated chocolate on the top

Drink remaining sherry in dish.

5 minutes start to finish - looks good and tastes wuuuunderful

Drink remaining sherry in bottle with tonic water as a long drink with ice

Feeling cold, that sort of cold that gets into your bones

Large mug, orange juice/orange squash - fill to one third, add a good tot of whisky, pinch of mixed spice, top up with boiling water and stir in a spoon of honey.

Sip it as hot as you can stand it and finish it quickly

10 minutes later - instant personal central heating - tastes good too
