Sounds like an interesting boat. Probable to fit an engine but too costly and loose space on it. How does the existing owner get water etc?

No one has said anything about shooting kids, just having the gun to protect against anybody or anything.

The canals are not public places. They belong to BW, I can't see in my terms of licence anything stopping someone having a firearm.

So my loaded 5 shot Remington Pump action shotgun might prove to be a problem.

Well it is in Burnley.

The boater must have been under 18, it is quite legal to have a loaded air rifle providing you are over 18 and not actually using it shooting people and robbing banks etc.

I must admit that I never run my engine after 8pm out of sheer courtasy to other people. When another boater askes me "Do you mind if I run my engine?" I never have the "guts" to say no.

Glad everthing was OK, I just use "Water Consevation Keys" on locks as a possible sign of trouble.
