    Bankruptcy

just over a year ago i thought the only way out for all my money problems was bankruptcy, i ended up phoneing a indepentant company for some free advice, taked to them about all my money problems, They then put me intouch with a company who helped me sort out all my money worrys all gone know well sort of. They said the best way forward was to enter into an IVA. Which I did gave them all my cretedtors details the lot they wrote to them set up a court date which they could attended or not (not one did turn up) but one did send a letter in say they where happy for the IVA to go but not to the fees the company was going to take. The IVA was approverd by the courts and the fees where altered. Now I pay a small amount a month to the company for the next five years after which all my debts are cleared. while in the iva non of the creditors are allowed by law to contact me about any moneys i owe them. If I miss just 1 payment then its straight to bankruptcy no i sorry i forgot the date, can i miss this one and pay extra next month. But if you are finding it hard they will look at it with and see what can be done. They work out with you in the beginning what you need to get by the month this includes money for food, clothes, rent, car tax, fuel for car, elec, gas, sky tv etc. you tell them everything they then tell you yes you can have that but you only allowed x amount or no you cant they never told me no to anying. this is looked at every year to see if you are able to higher payments. At the end of the five years I would have only paided 1/4 of what I owe but that will be all wiped clean. It was the best thing I done its nice having the money in the bank to pay the bills and not robbing peter to pay paul. PS they cant touch any assets under an IVA.

  15. I live 4 miles from where I work. Woke up to about 5 inches of snow so I walked into work was a nice walk. Got to work so did about a dozen others. Now what did pissed me off is the ones that normally walk into work every single day didnt turn up and even the ones that lived within a mile didnt, we had one guy the travelled into work who lives about 30 miles away so if he could make it in why couldnt the others. We then found out before we went home the ones that didnt come in are still going to get paid, I know what I be doing next time.
  16. I Apologise I missed the part where he is paying towards his GF CT, so that serves me right for not reading the whole thing, didnt think he was paying anything. My reasoning behind what I said was that i known plenty of people over the years that have sent mail to different address to avoid the tax man and CT.
  17. that makes it sound that he has been trying to cheat the system and has been found out

  20. you would have to proved a permanent address anyway to get the lesiure mooring so this address would have to pay council tax.
  21. I would say if you have a home mooring and move off it on a regular bases then they cant class you as perm living on the mooring, cos there is nothing saying you cant have a mooring but then spend 2+ months of the year CCing

  23. why most you not moor there
  24. So who gets the bill do the council break it down and send each boat a bill or do they send it to the marina and let them sort out how much each boater pays. what happens if you only got 5 boats on a 10 berth jetty do they have to pay double. think it would work out better if they where going to charge CT they charged each boat on the lower band like they have done elses where.
