  1. Thanks to you both, i have now managed to post with the images.
  2. This is how i boarded up the well for my channel crossing from Ramsgate to Dunkirk. Firstly i fixed double sided tape to the saloon door frame, then screwed theboard to the frame. The boards across the well were bolted to the hull. Below the boards i filled the well with as much material so it couldn't take too much water through the scuppers. then used gaffer tape to cover over the edges. All the heavy stuff was placed on the floor of the saloon to give the boat more stability.
  3. This is originally how i got to post previous images with success, but for some unknown reason i keep getting not allowed to post even though i am following the same procedure as before. Thanks for your prompt response.
  4. I have been trying to post images, but keep getting messages not allowing images on this forum. Probably i am doing something wrong, please can anyone enlighten me. cheers

  9. This canal is under used sadly and you won't be seeing as much traffic as you may think. You may encounter water shortages, but the experience of this canal is well worth it. Don't forget to book the Standedge Tunnel passage.

  13. Brushing up on my golf swing and cleaning the hull. It has been pointed out that i should stick to cleaning the hull.
  14. This looks like the chart i bought from Newark Marina in 2011 which needs to be looked at carefully. The reason i say this is that i got caught out coming from Torksey and heading towards Gainsborough, on one page it showed the red line going in the right direction and on the next page it showed the red line going in the left direction. It caught me out and i spent hours grounded, but managed to clean the hull and no damage done. When i contacted the people who printed these charts, i was informed that a new batch was being printed with photos. I will post some photos in a short while.
