We are going to abuse the sons hospitality. He happens to run a great pub with a large car park with his own fishing rights, so great trout fishing, free parking and hook up, free beer and a restaurant obs also free 🤣 you have to get your own back on the kids whenever possible!!

Correct. My first house I got a 105 percent mortgage, this allowed me to buy and have money to move and for beer. My second house even though I made lots of money on the first I got a 100 percent mortgage on. Look where we are now

Correct. House values started to rise at an insane rate during the early seventies and accelerated in the late seventies, before Maggie's inane right to buy scheme.

My missus paid 3500 for hers in 1975. My old Dad paid 200 for his in 1953, it was a lovely detached cottage needing complete renovation. To be honest we all had it much easier back then. There are so many problems with the current state of affairs that without significant government intervention somehow??? It will only get worse. It's the " Some how " bit that's the problem.

They are very varied because many are simply rooms in peoples houses right up to luxury houses. Some run by people who know what they are doing and many complete amateurs. There are quite a few round here as its a nice place to visit. There is one 200 yards away that is tiny and was a toilet years ago, very cheap by todays standards and is very busy. Way too small to house a family but quirky for a weekend.
