  12. It's the very expensive yellow paint that takes all the money so no money left for niceties. Vetus stuff is massively over priced. Decent base engines but after that!! My vetus had an air box but they didn't bother putting a filter in it ๐Ÿคจ
  13. Is the prop loose on the shaft?
  14. All I ever did was a yearly coat of black high temp paint. I've used different makes over the years. A coat in summer every year so paint hardens and doesn't stink on lighting in autumn I always found was the best way.
  15. You must be thick skinned if you live in or near Cas lol ๐Ÿคฃ All the best pubs there are long since shut though ๐Ÿ˜” Shoulder of mutton was a crying shame just for one!! and Ohh the joys of Kershaw avenue and Saxon way!!
  16. Using rigid pipe all the way to the pump is asking for trouble. Pump heads move and flex, a bit like why car exhausts are flexibly mounted so when engine rocks exhaust moves. Same applies.
  17. Good solid boats, no frills, well built old now. Hull spec is fine. My second boat was a Colecraft 1981 hull 6/6/3 and still going strong when I last saw it five years ago. Condition is far more important than original thickness.
  18. I wud love it but am boatless now โ˜น๏ธ and previous eejut blocked chimneys on the house ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
  19. I moved off four years ago but in the previous thirty odd years left my boat in all manner of places for up to two weeks unattended. Never had a problem. The thing to do is make sure you leave it unlocked so if it gets targeted you don't get damage to doors or windows, just ensure the crown jewels are not onboard.
  20. I only ever buy Purdy brushes since trying one many years ago. They are not expensive and genuinely retain their bristles ๐Ÿ‘
  21. Make sure you use flexible pipe to the pump.
  22. Indeed so, and on the OPs preferred cruising area there are miles of little used waterways with space and plenty of places to moor.
  23. Plenty of space to duck and dive between Leeds, Wakey, Goole, Thorne etc.
  24. I am a dinosaur. Just put in search Surface mounted Switch Loads come up DC ones
  25. Pre wired at 3.99 on fleabay
