I have been telling you since you moved aboard to get down onto the Oxford, much superior to the scruff ooop norrff. Miles and miles of space and particularly good moving about stretch between Oxford, say Dukes cut and Napton not at all congested and loads of places to moor. Oh yeah, nearly forgot, summer on the Thames!!

When I bought a new shell and did a complete fit out in 99/2000 I bought everything new. To save a few quid I bought the 120 as it was quite a few quid cheaper than the 150 of the day. I would not do it again. As it was brand new and I sold the boat aged about 12 months it was not a problem but it never filled me with confidence, don't know precisely why but it was clunky and did not inspire me. I remember rounding up on the Trent to go up the Chesterfield on a very high spring tide one evening giving much welly to the unit which it coped with but all these years later I recall thinking it was a wing and a prayer, probably unfounded though 😁

I tend to agree. Whilst it may be absolutely bang on now its probably unknown hours and anyway its at best a used unit. If it fails its tough luck and saving a measly 200 quid could end up costing you many hundreds again sooner rather than later.

Its just to produce hot water, nothing more, nothing less. They will both last yonks, why pay 700 when 400 still supplies hot water? Why do you need a display? Keep the tried and tested.
